What is Respite Care?
A service that provides short-term care and supervision that is consistent with the person's health needs in order to supplement care, provide a safe living environment, and/or support or relieve caregivers for the person's benefit. Services are provided to a family member or other unpaid person who resides with and provides ongoing care for a consumer as a planned or unplanned non-routine interval of rest and/or relief.

Service Objectives

To provide assistance to a family member or caregiver for a consumer.
2
To provide supervision in or out of the home, as well as to support the consumer's emotional, physical, and mental well-being.
Goals of Service
The following goals must be met by NestVillage LLC:
1
Determine the routine plan of care for the consumer from the consumer's caregiver.

Provide respite care and service to the consumer as specified in the consumer's Individual Support Plan (ISP) and/or routine plan of care.
3
Provide for the consumer's social, emotional, and physical needs.
4
Make certain that the consumer receives the medication as prescribed.
5
Provide first aid and medical attention to injuries and illnesses.
6
Ensure that food is available to meet daily dietary requirements. The family will provide therapeutic diets that require specialized ingredients or food supplements.
7
Assist the consumer in using transportation to support all daily living activities, such as day treatment and training, employment, medical appointments, visits with family and friends, and other activities. Implement any programs outlined in the consumer's ISP and/or routine plan of care.
